Ambassador- is a rank of Girl Scouts for girls in grades 11-12 (around ages 16-18)

Badges- are earned by Juniors by completing the necessary requirements

Bridging- is when a Girl Scout is moving up in rank. The girl will cross over a 'bridge' and be met by an older Girl Scout who will shake her hand.

Bronze Award- is the highest award for the girls in the age range of 9-11. The girl must complete 15 hours of work to her project that benefits the community.

Brownie-is a rank of Girl Scouts for girls in grades 2-3 (around ages 7-9)

Cadette- is a rank of Girl Scouts for girls in grades 6-8 (around ages 11-14)

Cookie Sale- is when Girl Scouts sell the classic Girl Scout Cookies to neighbors, friends, and family

Cookie Sale manager- is in charge of the cookie sales for the service unit

Cookie Sale parent- is in charge of all the cookie sales in the troop, not necessarily the leader

Council- is a division of the GSUSA specific to an area (such as the Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains)

Daisy- is a rank of Girl Scouts for girls in grades K-1 (around ages 5-7)

Do-Si-Dos- a Girl Scout cookie, peanut butter cookie with peanut butter filling

Dulce de Leche- a Girl Scout cookie, caramel cookie 

Early Registration- is when Girl Scouts can sign up early for next year as a Girl Scout

End of the Year Ceremony- is when Girl Scouts celebrate the end of the year with various awards and bridging ceremonies

Girl Scout- is an individual member of the Girl Scouts

Girl Scout Sunday/ Sabbath- occurs in March and is a time for Girl Scouts to be recognized in their place of worship

Gold Award- the highest award that can be earned by any Girl Scout. Earned by Seniors/Ambassadors. This award shows a Girl Scout's high determination, leadership, and dedication to her community.

GSGWM- stands for Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains which is our council

GSUSA- stands for Girl Scouts of the United States of America

Interest Projects- are earned by Cadettes/Seniors/Ambassadors by completing the necessary requirements

Junior- is a rank of Girl Scouts for girls in grades 4-5 (around ages 9-11)

Leader-is who is in charge of the troop, an adult or young adult

Lemon Chalet Cremes- a Girl Scout Cookie, lemon cookies with lemon filling

Patches- are earned by Girl Scouts of all ages during fun group activities, field trips, or special projects

Petals- are earned by Daisies. Each petal represents part of the Girl Scout Law and the center represents the Promise.

Product Sale- is when Girl Scouts sell candy and nut products along with magazines to friends and family

Product Sale manager- is in charge of the product sales for the service unit

Product Sale parent- is in charge of the product sales in the troop, not necessarily the leader

Registration- is when Girl Scouts or wannabe Girl Scouts can sign up for Girl Scouting this year

Samoas- a Girl Scout Cookie, caramel cookie rolled in coconut and drizzled with chocolate

Sash- a choice of uniform for a girl scout that cuts across her chest and is used to display try-its, badges, or interest project patches and fun patches

Service Unit- a specific town (or towns) in a council with multiple troops under it

Service Unit Manager- is in charge of the service unit

Senior- is a rank of Girl Scouts for girls in grades 9-10 (around ages 14-16)

Silver Award- is the highest award a girl in the age range of 11-14 can complete. She must spend at least 40 hours working on her project that benefit her community.

Summer Camp- is when Girl Scouts can attend various overnight or day Girl Scout Camps

Tagalogs- a Girl Scout Cookie, peanut butter cookies coated with chocolate

Thank U Berry Much- a Girl Scout Cookie, cookie with cranberry chips

Thin Mint- a Girl Scout Cookie, mint and chocolate cookie coated with chocolate

Trefoil- a Girl Scout Cookie, shortbread cookie

Troop- is a group of Girl Scouts around the same age group headed by a leader

Try-Its- are earned by Brownies by completing the necessary requirements

Vest- a choice of uniform for a Girl Scout that hangs off both her shoulders and is used to display try-its, badges, interest project patches and fun patches
