Girl Scouts was started on March 12, 1912 (The Girl Scout birthday) by Juliette 'Daisy' Low. It was assembled by 18 girls from Savannah, Georgia. Juliette Low wanted to bring girls into their communities and challenge themselves. She wanted a girl-centered organization and her goal has come true. 3.3 million girls are members of the Girl Scouts today (girlscouts.org).
